Designed by musician Curt Christian, this nightstand is built for function as much as form. It's constructed of solid birch with cherry veneers, and the three full-sized drawers have full-extension ball bearing guides. Inside, you'll find sturdy dovetail joinery, the same Rich Chocolate finish, and dust panels to keep the dust out. There's even felt lining in the top drawer.

Martin Furniture was founded in 1980 by Gil Martin in the San Diego suburb of El Cajon. Martin started the company in his garage with $400, a Craftsman table saw, and the business knowledge he gained from working for defense contractor, General Dynamics. Today, Martin Furniture specializes in American-made and imported office and home entertainment furniture. In 2003, it teamed up with Kathy Ireland's design company Kathy Ireland Home, creating furniture solutions for families.
