MDF and particle board don't expand and contract with heat and cold and don't absorb as much moisture as solid wood, resulting in stronger and longer-lasting furniture. Using a multi-step finishing process, the piece is finished in a deep, rich, rub-through black, lending the chest modern character.

Lightly stacked molding at the top of the chest creates the spacious tabletop, while below, wood trim enhances two spacious drawers - stock them with CDs, DVDs, video games, remotes, and spare batteries. Each drawer is constructed with sturdy plywood bottoms and sides, robust dovetail joinery, and full-extension glides for easy access. Shaped feet keep everything grounded.
