Stereos, TVs, and other entertainment equipment have become modern comforts in today's homes, to be sure, but they don't offer much in the way of warmth and character. The Grand Continental Master Media Chest, however, bridges the gap between electronics' crisp modernity and your home's cozy traditionalism with intricate distressing, a deep finish, classic lines, and, underneath it all, cord ports and electrical outlets to accommodate every contemporary accessory you have.
This opulent chest is crafted with durable maple solids and white ash burl and maple veneers, all given a well-loved look with multiple distressing techniques including rasping, cow tailing, rock denting, fly specking and spattering, and wormholing. The rich, warm brown terra finish is lightly burnished, and ochre tipping throughout adds to the wood's Old World look. Nickel-coated brass pulls and handles gleam.
The center chest boasts three spacious drawers for CDs, DVDs, and other entertainment accessories. At the top, a double-pull panel flips down to reveal a fully extendible drawer for DVD players or DVR systems. On either side of the center chest, column cabinets feature upper drawers with flip-top access to electronic charging stations. Below, enclosed cabinet spaces each house three adjustable shelves. Electrical outlets and cord ports make hook-up easy and cord clutter a non-issue. Able to accommodate TVs up to 61W inches. Coordinates with other Grand Continental collection pieces.

Do not place your furniture in direct sunlight and/or a damp area. Arrange your furniture so it is not placed in front of or over heating or air conditioning vents. Avoid placing furniture directly under windows. Be careful not to place plastic materials (place mats, lamp bases, notebooks, etc.) on your furniture. Certain plastics have ingredients that may react with and damage the finish. Occasionally rotate accessories so they do not remain in the same spot for extended periods. Avoid creating marks on your furniture by placing a piece of felt, cloth, or leather under accessories. Lift objects from the top surface rather than dragging them across the finish when moving them. Use a protective pad when using your furniture as a writing surface (especially when using a ballpoint pen). Wipe up spills promptly. Water left over a prolonged period of time will cause white spots in the finish, and alcohol, perfume, after-shave, and medicines can cause severe damage to the finish. Dust frequently with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth. To remove accumulated dust or old furniture wax buildup, use a soft, lint-free cloth which has been dampened in a solution of mild detergent and warm water. Dry thoroughly using a clean, lint-free cloth, and then apply furniture polish, wiping it in the direction of the wood grain. It's recommended that the furniture be polished every six months.
