The chest is crafted from durable maple, select hardwood solids, and cherry veneers matched and hand-finished in a rich, warm cherry shade. Heavy distressing - including fly-specking, worm holes, and rasping - gives the piece a lived-in feel and makes natural wear and tear throughout the years a design asset. Dovetail construction reinforces the joints of the chest's six spacious storage drawers, all outfitted with automatic stops for extra safety. The two large bottom drawers feature brushed brass bails, while the four smaller top drawers and cabinet door have coordinated brass knobs.
