We know how essential the TV's become in the home - don't worry. We don't think it's a bad thing. Chances are, you've got a set in the bedroom for late nights and lazy Sunday mornings, and we think that's just fine, even if your mom might not. But the TV doesn't have to be on display all the time. Instead, tuck it away in the breathtaking Wilshire Boulevard TV Armoire, an heirloom piece with contemporary touches, sensible storage, and an easy opportunity to fake out your mom when she comes for a visit.

The armoire is constructed with rich, durable wood and hand-selected sapele wood veneers, matched by color and wood grain to create a seamless, consistent look. Veneers themselves are stronger and more durable than solid wood as they resist shrinking, swelling, warping and cracking. They're finished here in a warm, dark Truffle with a linear ribbon stripe and raindrop pommele pattern.

The armoire's deck features two shaped, folding doors with softly curved fronts. The doors are constructed with traditional mortise-and-tenon joints to ensure strength and stability, and a precise, tight fit prevents gaps and sagging when doors are closed. Retract the doors to each side to reveal spacious shelving areas - one fit for a TV and one ideal for DVDs, CDs, and other entertainment equipment. Below the shelving areas are two small drawers that can catch remotes and spare batteries, and a shelving area to house a DVD or CD player.

The armoire's base is shaped to sit parallel to the deck when the two are stacked. Five roomy storage drawers - three on top and two below - offer places to discreetly store apparel and accessories. All the drawers in the deck and base feature wood sides and backs with veneer bottoms - they're durable and less likely to warp over time and in humidity changes. The drawer bottoms are stained and sealed to protect materials placed inside. English dovetail construction creates smooth edges, and stop blocks are nailed and glued behind each drawer to ensure the drawer stops solidly and in the proper position.
