The armoire starts with hardwood construction and mappa burl veneers. With a light background and dark knots, mappa burl comes from the outgrowth of the black poplar tree and creates an elegant, high-contrast style. Plus, these veneers are stronger and sturdier than solid wood alone and are specially designed to resist cracking and swelling caused by humidity and temperature changes. The rest of the armoire is finished in a rich Cappuccino that's the result of a detailed, multi-step process. You'll love the way the finish creates depth, accentuates the wood's natural grain, and gleams with subtle gold highlights.

Two drawers create the base of the armoire, and they're constructed with every detail in mind. A precise, tight fit creates strength and prevents gaps and sagging. Inside, you'll find English dovetail construction, stop blocks to keep the drawer aligned, adjustable glides, and a stained and sealed surface that's designed to keep clothes from snagging. Bun feet, solid brass drawer pulls, and a removable crown complete the Montelena.
